HOW TO JOIN TRANQUILITY Send an email to our Tranquility List Administrators. You will receive a standard response which will ask you the following: - 1. To confirm that you are seeking Al-Anon. We adhere to Tradition Three, "... The only requirement for membership is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend." 2. To include the name you'd like to use in the group. Your real first name or a nickname - whichever would make you feel more comfortable is fine. 3. To state which "mode" you would prefer. With reflector mode, mail arrives in your mailbox as it is sent, so is more frequent. With digest mode, mail is grouped together into "digest" form and the file is sent out once it reaches a certain size, so is less frequent. If not specified, you will be signed onto regular reflector mode. You may request a change from either mode to the other at any time, by writing to the List Administrator. |
